School Internship Phase I - Week 6 (19/12/22- 23/12/22)

There was nothing much special on the first four days of the week. We went on with the usual duties of sealing the examination writing sheets and preparing the lesson plans. On the other hand, during those four days, the students' preparations for the Christmas celebration were going on in the campus. On the fourth day, some of the student teachers helped in arranging the Christmas crib and tree in the open stage as the Christmas celebration was on the following day.
Students' Christmas exams ended by that day. The last day of the week was the best and the most memorable one as it was the day of school Christmas celebration. All the high school students gathered in the campus in colour dresses for the Christmas celebration, titled as "Chris Bells - Vimalites". The celebration began with the class-wise Christmas friend gift exchange and cake cutting. Highlighting the vibrant activities, one student of each class was dressed up as cute santas.
At around 9.45 a.m. the inaugural session began in the open stage with a prayer song. At that time, all the students gathered on the ground. Respected Principal Sir, Roy Sebastian, gave the welcome speech which was followed by the inauguration and Christmas message by the chief guest of the day, Fr. Linson K. Aradan, shared the importance of celebrating Christmas and emphasized on displaying the virtue of gratitude in life. He also elaborated on the importance of humility to lead a righteous life. Felicitation and vote of thanks were given by the P.T.A. President, Mr. Joseph and the
Headmistress, Mrs. Judith Latha respectively.
After that at around 10.20 a.m., class-wise Christmas programme showcasing the dance performances of students happened in the open stage. The glorious occasion concluded at around 12.30 p.m.
All of them took us back to the Christmas celebration of our school days.
